TRAINING IN US LABOUR LAW AT PURDUE UNIVERSITY
04/07/2016
A team from HR Diagnostics took part in specialist training at Purdue University, Indiana, USA. The topics included labour legislation in the United States and its impact on recruitment and promotion decisions.
The local anti-discrimination rules are much more complex in the US than for example the General Equality Act in Germany and other European regulations for the prevention of discrimination. There are more exacting requirements for validation and documentation of suitability diagnostics and selection decisions – especially if the methods used create an adverse impact. Through regular study of literature, visits to relevant conferences and special training measures, we at HR Diagnostics ensure that our selection procedures and selection processes are not “legal pitfalls” for our customers – as this can be very expensive in the USA.
